J. Nelson – Writer

After more than four years serving as the Opinion Editor and editorial writer at The Dominion Post in Morgantown, W.Va., I’m beginning a new chapter.

I have loved being part of our local newspaper — keeping our community connected to each other and the wider world. And I have been honored to be the voice of the Editorial Board, taking our conversations (and sometimes debates) on topics ranging from local to international, and turning them into our daily editorials. Sometimes we seek to inform; sometimes to persuade; and sometimes to warn.

Since I can no longer continue that work with The Dominion Post and its editorial board, I’m continuing it on my own. Starting the week of Sept. 30, I hope to update this site with at least two commentaries per week. I hope you will join me as I start this next chapter in my life and career.
