J. Nelson is an award winning editorial, non-fiction, fiction and poetry writer. She recently worked as the Opinion Editor and editorial writer for The Dominion Post in Morgantown, W.Va. (Not to be confused with the Dominion Post in Wellington, New Zealand.)

Her fiction and poetry have won multiple awards at West Virginia Writers contests, and her editorials have won several prizes from the West Virginia Press Association.

In addition to writing, she also edits everything from novel-length fiction to academic dissertations.

Her travels have taken her to Ireland, the United Kingdom and Greece, as well as up and down the east coast. But no matter how far she travels, she always returns home to Morgantown, W.Va.
